Step-by-Step Foolproof Method to Increase your Website Conversions
Structuring your website is both a science and an art. There's a certain way you can layout your website so that it increases the chance people buy from you.
Here's an effective way to do this using a mock business as an example.
When people visit your website, the first thing they should know is, what do you do?
Let's say your business is private soccer training.
The first information piece that can be conveyed is: we offer tailored private soccer training sessions.
The second thing question that should be answered is, why should I (the reader) care? And what types of people do you help? Am I the target market?
So the second piece of information that can be conveyed is: we help driven high school soccer players take their game to the next level so they can play collegiately.
Next we want to lay out your process and system for getting people the results you promise them. In this case, it's explaining the process of helping soccer players improve their game.
Here's an example:
First we bring in a player for a preliminary assessment to understand their strengths and weaknesses. Next the coaches review the session and establish what needs to be worked on and which strengths to focus on. Then we create a tailored program for you based on our analysis and your positional needs. We consider your physical and technical ability along with your tactical understanding and mental side of the game.
Next, benefits of the product or service must be clearly communicated. Don't make the mistake of listing out features, describe the benefits the prospect will see after using your product/service.
Instead of saying, 'We train for 90 minutes and work on passing, dribbling and shooting.' Say, 'Our trainings are 90 minutes long to ensure you are fitter than everybody else so that while others are losing focus to due to fatigue, you're as fresh in the 90th minute as you were in the 1st minute. We help you improve all aspects of the game helping you become a teammate people love having on their team but hate playing against.
Once you've laid out to your prospect exactly how you'll get them from point A to point B and how it will impact their life, they'll start to believe you. However there will still be some skepticism on whether it will really work for them. This is where you use the power of social proof by including testimonials or stats.
In this private soccer training business testimonials from professional players or other parents would work well.
Finally, once you've convinced your prospects emotional brain by clearly laying out benefits and their rational brain by showing them step-by-step of how you achieve results, it's time for a call to action. They are very interested in working with you so explain the next step.
In this case it could be, "Click here to visit our calendar and book your first session with one of our coaches."
In summary, the first thing is to understand what the business does and why it is relevant to the visitor. Next, outline the process of how the business helps its customers achieve their desired outcome. After this list the benefits of your product/service and offer social proof, such as testimonials or statistics. This will help build trust with the customer. Finally, provide a clear call to action to guide the customer towards the next step in the process, such as booking a session or purchasing a product.
